Paver Sealing
Lanai Paver Sealing
Sealing pavers inside a screened lanai is not the same job as sealing a driveway. The space is enclosed, so solvent vapour has nowhere to go; drainage runs toward the pool rather than the street; and the screen itself has to be protected from overspray. Done carelessly it hazes the screen, pools sealer in the low spots and leaves the lanai unusable for longer than it needs to be.
What's Included
- Screen and cage frame masked before any sealer is applied
- Deep clean and full dry-down — sealing damp pavers traps moisture and clouds the finish
- Joint sand replaced and consolidated where it has washed out
- Sealer chosen for an enclosed space, applied in controlled coats
- Ventilation managed through the cure
What Does Lanai Paver Sealing Cost?
Pricing depends on:
- Lanai square footage and how much of it is paver versus deck
- Whether joint sand needs replacing or only topping up
- Condition of any previous sealer and whether it has to come off first
- Access through the cage for equipment

Mask the cage
Screen, frame and any pool equipment get masked. Overspray on screen material is not something you can clean off afterwards.
Clean and let it dry
Pavers are cleaned, then given a genuine dry-down. Sealing over trapped moisture is the single most common cause of a cloudy finish.
Re-sand the joints
Washed-out joints are refilled and consolidated so the sealer locks the sand rather than running through it.
Seal in controlled coats
Applied in measured coats with the space ventilated, watching the low spots where sealer wants to pool.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will sealing haze my lanai screens?
Not if the cage is masked properly before any sealer is applied. Overspray on screen material cannot be cleaned off afterwards, which is why masking comes first.
How long before we can use the lanai again?
It depends on the sealer and the ventilation available in your cage. We will give you a specific window for your lanai before we start, not a generic number.
Do you replace the joint sand before sealing?
Yes — any joints that have washed out are refilled and consolidated first, so the sealer locks the sand in place instead of running straight through it.
